Insulator tester 12V. Detects non-visible internal defects on energized porcelain suspension or cap and pin insulators. A troubleshooting tool when tracing the source of ground fault trips and RF/TV interference. Will not cause flashover when used on energized insulators. Test de-energized insulators prior to installation. Powered by rechargeable and replaceable 8VDC battery
